“We are making it Green” video clearly demonstrates why IWCI’s products and processes are environmentally friendly.

Integrated Wood Components Inc. (IWCI) is the leading furniture components manufacturing company in the Eastern United States. They consistently provide top quality wood components products all while leading the nation on how to be TOTALLY GREEN. Take a moment to review this video at the following link. http://www.youtube.com/user/IWCIInc - p/a/u/0/hruN-QfR9hM

IWCI's environmentally friendly approach is unmatched by anyone in the industry. This video clearly demonstrates how IWCI's environmental practices help make the world a better place. Their vertically integrated manufacturing helps to reduce their energy footprint and logistics. Their effort to eliminate waste reduces their landfill site usage. They have developed procedures to produce products from waste. Their employee education program promotes recycling and environmental interaction. Their environmental management team ensures that they manufacture environmentally preferable products. IWCI has made major investments in state-of-the-art equipment to reduce their energy usage and reduce waste. They operate on off-peak hours to conserve energy. They produce products with 100% recycled content materials.

To help the world be greener, IWCI is also a leader in Research and Development. They produced some of the first solvent free epoxies for the RTA furniture and electronics industry.  They invented the band-ade machine; technology used to break down metal banding for re-sale and recycling. These are just some of the reasons why they are proud to say…“We are making it Green.”

IWCI is not just a furniture components manufacturing company. IWCI is a company with an environmental vision and it operates with a sense of environmental purpose. This has forever changed their ideas on how they do things. Since its inception IWCI's founders have instilled upon them a sustainable environmental attitude. This video is who they are. This video is what they do. They are making it Green!

IWCI Shows Commitment to Excellence

IIWCI is going above and beyond the usual call of a company yet again.

This time because they are now carrying Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) Certified Beech lumber in stock.  FSC® Certified Poplar lumber is soon to arrive as well.

Not only will this shorten lead times for production but more importantly for the environment it will significantly reduce the amount of logistics required to get the final product to your door step.

For those of you who are not aware as to what FSC lumber really means, it is a way of saying that a company or person truly cares about the Environment. They care about protecting the soil, protecting the wildlife, consulting with the local communities, and most of all preserving the forests!
By supporting FSC and their certifications we show that people do care about preserving the Environment and the wildlife that lives within it, and by consuming products from these suppliers we can slowly weed out of the rest that don't abide by such high standards. As consumers we are able to make a change, by shopping, by buying the things that we want that are produced in a way that we can all support without a guilty conscience.

If you want more information about the FSC check out their website at http://www.fscus.org.

IWCI’s sustainability report is a breath of fresh air. It is detailed enough to give a thorough amount of information, yet not so detailed that it will take you the entire day to read. This report shows me and hopefully all of you that we truly are making the right decision when deciding to deal with IWCI. I know that I personally can go to sleep at night knowing that I am making a difference. And why shouldn’t you, IWCI have proven to be a leader in environmentally friendly productions. They show time and time again that there first priority truly is the environment.

Not only is IWCI trying to reuse recycled product as we already know, they are also making sure that they use the most possible renewable contents. This way, not only are they cleaning up the garbage of others but that they create the least amount of garbage possible. They also mention that they will hold their suppliers to the high standards that they hold themselves to, so that all imported or domestic products are using fair labour standards and packaged with the recycling or reuse in mind. They even state that are trying to make it as easy as possible for us customers to recycle the end product once they are know longer needed. This company truly shows their dedication to keeping our planet green and our environment clean.
